Water Storage Tank
In the small village of Oforola, Nigeria, a well was completed during the latter
part of 2009. This village was the childhood home of Father Augustine Obiwumma
who now serves at St. Matthews Church in Surrey, BC Canada. Rafiki presented
Father Obiwumma with a $10,000 donation for the construction of a desperately
needed water pump and holding tank for Oforola.

Oforola is a village comprised of mainly women and children. In order to
provide their families with food, Oforolas men leave the area and travel to
the city in search of work. Prior to the completion of the well the village
children had to walk long distances to collect water for their daily needs.

The Oforola well has provided a clean water supply for the villagers which
has significantly contributed to the quality of their lives. The children
are now free from gathering water for the village and can concentrate on
their school studies. Rafiki is pleased to have been a part of this life
changing project.
